The Hickory Catawba Science Center offers you and your family amazing exhibits, a stunning Planetarium, educational programs, events and so much more. In the Hall of Astronomy, you will get your chance to have an experience that is truly out of this world.  The surface of Mars is yours to touch by using a robotic arm!  You can create a dust devil as well as explore an awesome replica of NASA’s Exploration Rover.Launch a rocket you’ve created in the Energy Avenue!  Invent your own creation in the Inventor’s Workshop and take a whirl wind of a ride in the Tornado Simulator!  You can rock climb or have your youngsters build an igloo.

Escape to faraway galaxies and learn about astronomy in Catawba Science Center’s digital planetarium theater, featuring full-dome video, traditional star talks and laser light shows.

Catawba Science Center offers interactive and educational school field trips, as well as engaging summer camps for youth in grades pre-K through rising ninth.
